The reality is that most projects that we tackle are one or possibly two of those core services – roofing projects, siding projects, roofing & siding, siding & windows, etc. However, every now and again we get to flex our muscles and tackle all three on one project – that was the case for new homeowners, Mr. & Mrs. R., and their “new/old” house* in Mount Olive Township.

(* Although the house was new to them it was an older construction with roof, siding and windows all showing their age).

Original siding

New roof installation

  • The old roof shingles were removed and disposed of in our own dumpster.
  • New ice and water shield was installed on all gutter edges.
  • GAF Tiger Paw underlay was installed over the exposed roof.
  • New GAF Timberline™ HDZ algae resistant shingles were installed.

Vinyl siding installation

  • The old cedar shake-style siding was removed and disposed of.
  • Foam backer board was installed on the entire house.
  • New CertainTeed MainStreet™ vinyl siding was installed – client selected Double 5” Clapboard style in Flagstone blue.

New windows

  • 12 windows and 2 sliding doors were removed and replaced. Three windows were removed and covered with plywood – these were then covered by a stone facade (by others).
  • Simonton 5500 series new construction style windows were installed. These windows carry a 20 year warranty on the glass and 10 year warranty on the non-glass parts.

Front door renovation

  • We also installed a new front door for the client – they purchased the door separately based on dimensions we provided to them.

We’ve often said that after a project is completed that it’s like getting a new house at a fraction of the price – the completed project here in Mount Olive Township is the perfect example of that.
