It’s been an exciting summer full of announcements from our industry partners, so we’re taking some time to share their latest news with you!
First up in our industry update, GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, launched its newest contractor app, e360, last month. The industry’s most advanced 3D visualizer and estimator enables us more accurately and easily measure and estimate your next roofing project. With the help of the app roofing contractors can now offer a 3D visualization capability during the estimation phase, enabling you to see a stunning multi-dimensional rendering of your new roof and visualize how different roofing colors and styles will look on your home. This exciting new application feature is an industry first!
Certainteed®, which manufactures a wide range of home products including roofing and siding, snagged a number of awards and accolades this summer. Most recently, its products were used in the creation of a new custom model home by Stewart Construction, Inc. The 2,488 square-foot, three-bedroom, colonial-style home is one of the first to feature CertainTeed® Cedar Impressions® Individual 5-inch Sawmill Shingle Siding. The polymer shingles feature proprietary CedarLife™ color technology with TrueTexture™ molded textures and patterns, which simulate the look of natural cedar shingles sawn in a lumber mill. Stewart Construction’s model home received seven honors at the 2016 Capital Region Parade of Homes, including “Overall Favorite” and “Best Use of Innovative Materials.”
Andersen Corporation’s innovative VeriLock® integrated security sensors won a Top 3 Parade of Products at this year’s PCBC, the largest homebuilding tradeshow representing the west coast region. Andersen’s VeriLock products were the first in the industry that touted the ability to notify users if their windows or patio doors in their homes are locked or unlocked, helping homeowners connect with and monitor their homes while they’re away.
Rounding out the summer’s industry updates, James Hardie Building Products Inc., the leader in fiber cement siding, announced last month that, for the tenth time, the company has earned nationally-recognized “A,A” Partners of Choice Award for outstanding Quality and Service from David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately-held home builder. James Hardie stood out among the 200 participating companies as only 1 of 14 to earn the highly coveted “A,A” Award, achieving excellence in both quality and service, and 1 of only 3 companies to earn this distinction for 10 or more years.
