The closing of the year is a good time to stop and reflect on growth.  At George J Keller & Sons, we like to look at what has occurred in the industry, as well, and share our insights to help you, the consumer, make informed decisions.  When you decide it’s time for your next home project, reach out to New Jersey’s premier home improvement contractors at George J Keller & Sons.

GAF has made roof measurements immeasurably simpler.  Their new QuickMeasure tool allows roofing measurements to be done aerially and with more accuracy and speed.  Contractors enter the address on their phones or desktops and receive the details in about an hour for residential requests and less than 24 hours for a commercial request.

Especially significant now that the cold weather is upon us, Certainteed’s new fast-drying air sealant will keep your HVAC costs down, improve air quality, and reduce noise throughout your home.  This quick-drying, easy-to-apply sealant applies blue to allow you to be sure you’ve covered every area and requires only minimal PPE for application. With its shortened drying time, CertaSeal INT allows drywall installations to be completed within 24 hours, and with little regard for the weather.

James Hardie Building Products Inc

This February, James Hardie Building Products announced several innovative products to improve the durability of your home.  The Artisan Shingle resembles natural cedar shingles with the performance of fiber cement. Not only will they add beauty and simplicity to your roof, but they will also stand up to harsh weather throughout the years.  They also unveiled the HardiBacker Cement Board with HydroDefense Technology. This is the first – and only – waterproof cement backer board in the industry. This new technology will “protect tile installation and wall cavities from moisture penetration” meaning less time spent applying a waterproof coating across the entire project.
