Our blog has many instances of successful James Hardie Fiber Cement projects – one in Pittstown, NJ, another in Whippany, NJ and yet another in Long Valley, NJ. We tend to concentrate on the whole project – from removal of the old siding through prepping the house by repairing and wrapping it to the installation of the new siding. However the success (or failure) of any project often boils down to the details. At George J Keller & Sons we’re very detail oriented!

For this particular project for Mr. & Mrs. B. of Basking Ridge the big picture project was pretty straightforward:

  • Remove the old siding
  • Replace any damaged substructure
  • Wrap the house in a protective barrier
  • Install new James Hardie Wood Grain HardiePlank Siding in Heather Moss
Original siding

As with many projects we handle there were also a bunch of smaller details that needed to be addressed. These included:

  • Removing and disposing of existing trim
  • Installing new Azek trim in specific areas
  • Replacing certain gutters

Where our sales experts really excel is in the level of details they provide at the time of the proposal. Here’s an example of a specific location that required additional trim to be installed.

Here’s the finished work on the sunroom with a highlight showing the specific area that was called out in the proposal.

It’s only a small detail but it’s one that sets us apart from many of our competitors who are more interested in just completing a job and getting paid. George J Keller & Sons are a James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor – read more about this here. If you too are detail oriented and are looking for a home improvement contractor who will handle those small details we hope you’ll give the expert team at George J Keller & Sons a call at 973-927-0963.
