While we probably all love our homes we’ve also probably never considered our roof (or any other part of our home) as “perfect”! However George J Keller & Sons have recently launched a new campaign called “The Perfect Roof” – what are they talking about?
It turns out that only 3% of all homes in NJ have roofs that are absolutely perfect for their own solar installation! A perfect roof is one with the following characteristics:
- Correct azimuth (an angular measurement) – your roof has a southern exposure with as close as possible orientation to due south.
- Correct tilt – your roof has the correct slope to provide maximum electricity production
- No shading – your roof has little or no shading allowing for maximum sun exposure
If you have a perfect roof it makes you a “perfect” candidate for our “No Cost Solar Program“.
What if you don’t have a perfect roof – does that mean you can’t install solar?
Good news – even if your roof isn’t perfect it may still be a good candidate for solar if it is oriented anywhere between southeast to southwest, which increases the percentage of suitable homes considerably.
